Plant SuperGroup
Last PSG Meeting: September 28th, 2007
Since the Spring of 2001, Plant SuperGroup (PSG) has provided a forum for informal presentation and discussion by grad students, post-docs and faculty working in experimental plant biology at CSU and in the Front range of the Rockies. PSG is also a place for plant biologists to mingle informally and make contacts. Meetings are twice per semester, on Friday afternoons and are attended by most plant researchers at CSU. Each meeting has two or three 25-30 min talks. Lively but friendly discussions usually follow in which students and post docs are especially invited to take part. Each meeting has drinks and food items, which are provided by a faculty member. All attendees are encouraged to mingle and meet before and between the talks. Most presentations at PSG have been by CSU grad students or post-docs but we also have had invited speakers from front range institutions such as the NREL in Golden, CU Denver, and the University of Wyoming. PSG has an email list-server to which researchers can subscribe and which is used to inform about upcoming PSG meetings and other seminars at CSU but it is also used to ask questions and exchange information.
