Admission
The Program in Molecular Plant Biology (PMPB) offers research and training opportunities in all areas of molecular plant biology including genetics, cell biology, biochemistry, molecular systematics, synthetic biology and molecular and whole plant physiology. Prospective students should apply to one of the four participating departments (Biology, Bioagricultural Sciences and Pest Management, Horticulture, Soil & Crop Sciences - see below for links). For the first year, each student is offered a Graduate Research Assistantship plus tuition. During the first year, the department to which the student applies is the home department for that student. All students entering the program are required to rotate through three laboratories of the PMPB faculty prior to choosing a home lab. The duration of each rotation is for three months. After the rotations, each student will select an advisor from any of the four departments and the selected department would become the home department for that student.
